Is there sufficient fresh air supply? This NDIR CO2 sensor measures carbon dioxide or CO2, temperature, relative humidity and ambient light level in a room. The green, yellow and red LED indicator provide a visual indication of the indoor air quality. The dew point temperature is calculated based on the measured values.
Carbon Dioxide or CO2 is the result of the metabolic process in living organisms. CO2 concentrations within a building are often used to indicate whether adequate fresh air needs to be supplied to the space. Moderate to high levels of carbon dioxide can cause headaches and fatigue, and higher concentrations can produce nausea, dizziness, and vomiting. To prevent or reduce high concentrations of carbon dioxide in a building or room, fresh air should be supplied to the room.
This CO2 sensor has adjustable ranges for temperature, relative humidity and carbon dioxide. The measured values are transmitted via the three analogue outputs and via Modbus RTU communication. The output type can be selected: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM. In many applications, the integrated light sensor can be used to control the ventilation system in function of the occupancy of the room. The light intensity of the three integrated LEDs for status indication can be adjusted via Modbus RTU.
